The grand Friesian Farm welcomes you to their peaceful guest country cottage located on the famous Ballard Canyon Road.
This beautifully furnished guest suite is complete with every amenity one could dream of while vacationing. Very new construction gives the cottage a brand new country feel even though the property itself has a lifetime of history. Included in this room is an over-sized, custom walk-in closet that can easily double as a small bedroom, if extra space is needed, because of its incredibly large size and beautiful custom detailing. A short bike ride to Los Olivos or Solvang and a 5 minute car ride away to Santa Ynez allows you to experience the Valley in many ways. Several highly respected wineries neighbor the property that you can enjoy in just a short walk.

We were very happy with the stay. Everything was as advertised and the location could not be beat. There were even two dogs to greet us whenever we came back from an outing. Reminded me of being at home.

I wanted to write and tell you that the Friesian Farm was FANTASTIC!!!! We loved every minute of our stay. I remember your email to me several months ago when you wrote and said that I would not be disappointed — well how right you were.
The rental property is just perfect. Tom & I could certainly tell that you have put your heart and soul into making this property so very comfortable and inviting. We enjoyed a fire several nights while trying to count more stars that I can remember seeing in one night. The location is hard to beat. It was so centrally located to so many wonderful restaurants and wineries. When we departed on Wednesday I can honestly say we were both sad. We miss the Friesian Farm!! I hope we can return someday.

The cottage was great – way more spacious than the photos indicated and the Wi-Fi was a bonus! The homemade goodies were fantastic and the cold bottled waters were perfect after a long drive. We were personally greeted shortly after we arrived and felt immediately at home.

We loved it. In fact, we loved the area so much that we’ve been plotting ways to move up there ever since and we really enjoyed our base camp from Freisian Farm since it was so perfectly located, yet so peaceful and remote at the same time.
The place was great — we were very comfortable and just absolutely fell in love with the doggies.

My husband and I spent 5 days at the Friesian Farm just outside Solvang as a way to wind down after his year-long deployment in Afghanistan and it was the perfect place to relax! The sunrise over the hills of the valley was astonishing, and we could see it from all the windows in the Friesian Farm cottage. Our accommodations were cozy and private and everything we hoped for in a vacation to wine country. The vacation rental property was only a 10- to 15-minute drive from all the key areas of the Santa Ynez Valley, a stone’s throw from countless vineyards and wineries, 20 minutes from the beach, and 45 minutes from the Santa Barbara airport. We got to socialize with the friendliest dogs and several horses during our stay, squeezed in some hikes, ate some tasty food and had some tasty beverage each day of the trip, it was all around a great trip! If you are looking for a cozy, romantic getaway for two, the Friesian Farm is the perfect property for any couple. I’m excited to get a larger group together to try out one of the other properties on our next vacation, too!
