We stayed at the Olive Hill Cottage with our dogs from 2/16 – 2/18/13 and had a wonderful time. We found the location ideal for visiting both Los Olivos and Solvang; it was easy to find (although navigating around the little service building below was a bit tricky the first time), but remote enough to feel more like a country “retreat.” The unit is spacious and well-appointed; we didn’t use the commercial kitchen, but it really sets up well for entertaining, inside and out. The decor is not luxurious, and perhaps a little dated, but certainly adequate for the price. I would definitely recommend this affordable rental to couples; for those with dogs, there are several friendly places in Los Olivos (Saarloos and Dragonette) and Solvang (The Wandering Dog) that are more than happy to accommodate them!
